Investing in the Santa Barbara Community

The Paskin Group’s Santa Barbara office had the pleasure of spending their morning volunteering with the Food Bank of Santa Barbara County’s Brown Bag program. The team arrived early at the Presidio Springs distribution location on Laguna Street and quickly went to work under the direction

of Bill Anthony, Brown Bag Volunteer Coordinator. As part of a large group of volunteers, the team received a delivery of fruits, vegetables, and dry goods in large quantities, and then worked to fill brown paper bags with the supplies that would provide recipients with healthy food options for the upcoming weeks. Once the bags were full, TPG employees enjoyed the best part of the morning: handing out bags and chatting with the Santa Barbara residents who benefit from this program.

The goal of the Brown Bag program is to supplement the food pantries of disadvantaged residents of Santa Barbara County by providing consistent access to fresh and nutritious foods. Brown Bags are provided every two weeks at two locations, and volunteers are always needed and welcome. You’ll be seeing the TPG team there on a Friday morning again soon!
